Bagbazar Sarbajanin
বাগবাজার সর্বজনীন
Pandal Overview
Established in 1919 (celebrating over a century of glory), Bagbazar Sarbajanin is Kolkata’s quintessential traditional Puja. Intimately tied to Bengal’s freedom movement and stalwarts like Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose who served as its president, Bagbazar is famed for its iconic white Daker Saaj idol, classic Ekchala structure, bustling festive fairground, and grand Vijaya Dashami carnival.
Located in North Kolkata, Bagbazar Sarbajanin draws festival visitors every year for its artistic installation work and traditional Kolkata Durga Puja rituals.
